Ascension of the Lord

Lenten Message

Lent is a new beginning, a path leading to the certain goal of Easter, Christ’s victory over death. This season urgently calls us to conversion. Christians are asked to return to God “with all their hearts.” Jesus is the faithful friend who never abandons us. Even when we sin, he patiently awaits our return; by that patient expectation, he shows us his readiness to forgive.Lent is a favorable season for deepening our spiritual life through the means of sanctification offered us, as we are invited to hear and ponder more deeply. As responsible community members aspiring to achieve personal holiness, let us make use of this Lenten season to improve our life style limiting all the unwanted desires and committing ourselves to daily routine of prayers. Wishing everyone to have a blessed Lenten Season. It is the season to be praying, fasting and almsgiving, and remember to spend more time with Jesus wherever we are. For your kind information: Here at St Patrick Church we have two masses at 8am and 7pm on Ash Wednesday. We do Stations of the Cross at 6.15pm, followed by mass, on every Friday during the Lent. And the Sacrament of Reconciliation is available before and after the mass every day. God Bless
