WORLD DAY OF PRAYER will be celebrated on March 5, 2021.
This year St. Patrick’s Church was to host the WDP for our area but due to the pandemic it is being offered virtually. This is a day when Christians from over 170 countries come together in spirit to pray for relevant issues affecting women and children. Together the WICC fund grants that support women and children touched by injustice. Each year a different country writes the service materials. This year the service is written by the women of VANUATU. Vanuatu means “country that stands up”. It is a Y shaped collection of over 80 islands in the South Pacific Ocean to the east of Australia. You may participate in this service virtually, CLICK HERE to view.
The Pope’s Intentions for March is. “Let us Pray That We May Experience the Sacrament of Reconciliation with Renewed Depth to Taste the Infinite Mercy of God”. During Lent let us all take advantage of this sacrament by making an appointment with one of our priests for a socially distanced confession.
